COVID-19: How Guttman Energy isn’t missing a beat supporting our employees, customers, and communities

No that is not the “Brady Bunch” you see there, it is the “Guttman Bunch!”

Even though we are not in the office, our team has been working around the clock to ensure we continue to supply our customers with the products and services they need during this critical time.

As we remain committed to the health and safety of our employees, on March 17th, Guttman Leadership, like many other companies, made the decision that our employees would work at home. Since then, our entire team has done an outstanding job to ensure our customers are taken care of during such an evolving and uncertain time.

Our IT support team stepped up immediately to ensure everyone would have the resources needed to remotely continue with their regular day-to-day duties, and to help ensure the business would continue to run without any roadblocks caused by these immediate changes.

Our drivers and terminal operations teams have continued to provide the essential services to our customers in a safe manner, with enhanced procedures that ensure we are doing our part to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In addition to using our normal collaboration and communication tools, our employees have utilized technology, such as Microsoft Teams to conduct important meetings, do daily group happy hours and huddles, to stay connected with one another while working from home.  Microsoft Teams allows us to see each other and to have some social interactions that are necessary for our business and our industry, since the “magic” is often found in the real-life back and forth.

We want our employees to know that our Leadership Team is in their corner and that we are all in this together. We are working together in new ways and with new technology to solve emerging customer challenges.

We continue to have our daily 8:30 a.m. company-wide meetings via an Amazon Chime conference call. Our team wants to hear from us, and we want our employees to know they are also heard.
