Meet Matt Reese, Senior Fuel Card Sales Representative, who has been with us for five years.
Tell us a little about your work history. Where you started, and how you found your way to Guttman Fleet Fuel Team.
Every job I have ever had has been centered around customer service. From working at a gym to food service as a teenager, to retail management, I have always enjoyed using my critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help those that need it.
Coworkers and friends over the years always said to me, “You would be great at sales,” so I was always interested in some degree. I was recommended for a position at Guttman Energy from a former colleague who felt I demonstrated the core values that are exhibited here.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
I manage my existing client’s needs and business. I also prospect for new business.
How do you help clients reach their goals?
By listening to what they want to accomplish and formulating a plan and strategy to reach their desired target goals. I enjoy thinking “outside the box” and implementing new ways of working if the client desires something that we do not currently provide or offer.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my two children, Winslow and Marlow, and my wife Aire.
What are your reading/watching?
I enjoy watching documentaries on just about anything and enjoy reading biographies.
