Meet Ryan Treadwell, Fuel Card Sales Representative who joined the Fleet Fuel team in May of 2022.
Tell us a little about your work history. Where you started, and how you found your way to Guttman Fleet Fuel Team.
My working life began like many others in Southwestern Pennsylvania, on a farm taking care of livestock and throwing hay. But as I grew up, I found work in retail. First, I worked at a local flower and plant nursery until I started college. I worked my way through college at various retail stores. Once I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from college, I began my time in Freight Brokerage and Supply Chain, which forged my interest in the Supply Chain industry.
How do you help clients reach their goals?
I help my clients reach their individualized goals by hearing about their businesses and how they operated before our relationship began. I find lasting solutions for any shortfalls they experience with their current/former programs and present them transparently, so they know what to expect throughout our relationship. I also stay up to date on all current events that may directly or indirectly affect my customers’ daily fueling and provide advice on how to best proceed to get the most out of our program.
What does a typical work day on the fleet fuel team look like for you?
I begin my days by ensuring I have no overdue customer requests, and then I start prospecting for new business. I spend the mid-morning and afternoons calling prospects, setting up meetings, and researching to find more beneficial areas for my current and future clients.
What do you do in your free time?
I spend a lot of my free time with my 2-year-old son, Hudson. I am also a passionate outdoorsman, so I am constantly camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, or gardening. More recently, my wife, Sarah, and I have spent most of our free time preparing our home for the arrival of our second child, which is due this holiday season.
What are your reading/watching?
I spend most of my fall watching both college and professional football and catching a few early season hockey games. I read a good mix of both fiction and non-fiction, but mainly biographies and historical accounts.
