Meet Nick Stanley, Fleet Fuel Card Account Manager, with six years on the team!
Tell us a little about your work history. Where you started, how you found your way to Guttman, etc.
I started working in the transportation industry as a freight broker for a third-party logistics company in Cincinnati. Looking for a new career path, I was contacted by a headhunter looking to fill a sales position for Guttman Energy. This position was unique to my situation as it was a remote and over-the-road job, where I was assigned a territory in Southwest Ohio including Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton. Given my background in the transportation industry, it ended up being an easy transition into my current fleet fuel card account manager role.
How do you help clients reach their goals?
By listening to each of my customers’ unique fueling needs, I can pair them with the best solution. Through effective communication, I provide the highest level of personal customer service, which creates long-lasting professional relationships.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical work day includes attending to current customers’ requests and general questions about their fleet fuel card account. This includes running specialized fuel reports, processing card order requests, and answering general questions about the fuel industry.
Mixed in with this, I prospect for new business opportunities. I will reach out to any company that operates a fleet of vehicles and discuss if our fuel card solutions can provide value to their business.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy golfing, playing basketball, taking bike rides, and walking my dogs in my free time. I also take advantage of any chance to go to a Reds and Bengals game.
What are you reading/watching?
I am watching Succession, Dave, and most sporting events.
What’s the most used app on your phone?
As of right now Zillow.
