POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Risk Analyst position is a member of Guttman Energy’s commodity risk management team working closely with sales, supply, accounting, and the mid-office teams in assessing, monitoring and reporting financial risk for Guttman Energy’s commodity portfolio.  This is an exempt position and will report to the Corporate Risk Officer located in Bel Air, MD. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Substantiate Enterprise Trading Risk Management system generated P&L.
  • Produce accurate and timely daily trading P&L and risk position reports, assess key drivers, and provide daily management commentary.
  • Develop and validate pricing inputs; and ensure the accuracy and timely entry of curves to value physical and financial positions.
  • Review new business activity, validate accuracy of trade entry and day one P&L, analyze day-over-day changes in physical and financial trading risk positions, determine impacts to P&L, review deal amendments and/or deal cancellations and assess impact to risk positions, portfolio valuation and resulting P&L.
  • Work with the front office to reconcile ETRM system generated P&L and positions with front office estimates.
  • Troubleshoot and work with the appropriate functional area to resolve deal entry, scheduling/actualization, pricing, and/or system issues impacting Risk reports.
  • Reconcile derivative activity with the broker daily.
  • Code and maintain exceptionally complex VBA macros in Excel, update and maintain SQL queries as well as stored procedures. 
  • Work with IT to develop and design analytical tools and improve underlying risk system infrastructure (models, calculations, data flows, reports, etc.)
  • Provide assistance with ad-hoc inquiries and support both the front office and accounting teams with key initiatives and projects.
  • Assist sales, supply, and/or management with analyzing performance within an existing strategy or historical modeling of a proposed sales or supply strategy.
  • Maintain a robust independent trade control environment.
  • Continuously improve and streamline existing processes.
  • Communicate effectively with front office, operations, and finance.

 

MINUMUM QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or AS Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of billing experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years leadership experience in supervising on a departmental basis
  • Proficient computer related skills include knowledge of Microsoft Office and exposure to ERP applications
  • Ability to effectively communicate: orally and written

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Four-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, finance, economics, mathematics or a similar discipline.
    • 1-3 years of experience in commodity risk management
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
    • Advanced knowledge of VBA macros in Excel required.
    • Display exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
    • Strong written, report presentation and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences
    • Self-starting, team focused attitude.
    • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, and ability to maintain detail-orientation in high-pressure situations.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for the safe and efficient routing of company trucks and third-party carriers to satisfy customer delivery requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing order optimization activities, coordinating load assignments to drivers, monitoring customer inventories, managing customer supply obligations, and handling customer communications.  This position will be required to work the 7pm-7am shift. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

       
    • Communicate dispatch assignments to drivers in a timely manner to ensure driver productivity using TMW and TotalMail software

    • Manage customer fuel inventory levels and schedule deliveries to meet our customers’ inventory standards.

    • Assign orders to drivers to meet customer requirements including delivery windows, supply obligations, equipment requirements, special delivery instructions, etc.

    • Identify when order demand in Source One’s geography exceeds available capacity and coordinate with approved common carriers to meet demand expectations.

    • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, drivers, operation managers, and management to resolve logistics and service issues.

    • Monitor driver logs and schedule drivers’ daily activities accordingly to ensure DOT compliance.

    • Ensure driver dispatch assignments and all driver communications support Source One’s safety culture.

    • Schedule inventory managed deliveries based on current tank levels in order not to exceed the ninety percent safe fill level. 

    • Maximize loaded mileage percentage of all dispatched units on a daily basis through route optimization and TMW order analysis.

    • Solicit business from customers when available capacity exceeds demand or to increase loaded miles.

    • Collaborate with Maintenance Managers to schedule preventative maintenance and repair of equipment to maximize truck availability and utilization.

    • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies through better use of drivers, equipment, and technology (TMW).

    • Work as part of a team environment and answer phones, handle customer service issues and work with various internal departments as needed.

    • Provide excellent service by communicating clearly and professionally to customers, colleagues and management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Supply Chain, Transportation or Business Administration from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.

    • 2 years customer service experience preferred.

    • Ability to listen to others, express ideas both orally and in writing and provide relevant and timely information to clients, managers, etc. 

    • Ability to understand problems and make timely, practical business decisions

    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Deal Entry Analyst is responsible for entering deals into the RightAngle energy trading and risk management (ETRM) system. The Deal Entry Analyst is a non-exempt position. The position reports to the Director of Mid Office and is located in Belle Vernon, PA.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter deals in RightAngle accurately and timely (including spot, term, and evergreen deals originating from Sales and Supply departments in both the Belle Vernon and Bel Air offices).

  • Change deals in RightAngle as directed by Sales, Supply or the Deal Entry Team Lead.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in Deal Entry, Sales and Supply to ensure effective and efficient deal entry workflow.

  • Work with colleagues across departments to resolve deal entry-related problems.

MINUMUM QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience

  • 1-2 years of data entry experience preferred

  • Experience in oil & gas industry or related commodity fields preferred

  • Experience with ETRM or ERP system preferred

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to listen to others and work effectively with colleagues from all departments in the company

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply, Sales and Pricing Analyst position is responsible for outside supplier pricing analysis, vendor support, inventory allocations & direction and market intelligence for the company’s supply and sales businesses.  The major functions of this position also include providing critical information on an accurate and timely basis. The chosen candidate will be an integral part of the supply and trading and sales teams as they work with the gasoline and diesel product businesses.  This position is required to work during our evening hours, 3:00pm – 12:00am. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support sales and trading by managing third party vendor pricing, allocating loads to maximize profitability and monitoring daily activity.

  • Manage outside supplier pricing data on a daily basis to ensure accuracy for execution on sales deals.  Manage the Daily Rack Report information to communicate all supply pricing to the company.

  • Manage inventory allocations in DTN TABS and send daily direction to sales team to ensure optimal performance of the supply direction.  Redirect product sourcing in coordination with supply, sales and trucking.

  • Manage several analytical projects for deal profitability analysis. Handle seasonal pricing changes.

  • Manage several steps in the evening sales quoting system to ensure we are maximizing the system and pulling best delivered options once price changes occur at 6pm.

  • Manage quoting for several customers once evening pricing comes out.

  • Handle trouble shooting on inventory and billing and TABS to ensure all loads accounted for daily.

  • Assist in customer billing and pricing as needed to keep overall system up to date.

  • Monitor TABS to see real time loading information and address issues as they arise.

  • Manage product outage system to further streamline and optimize the overall supply system.  Initiate communication to vendor to understand when product will be available and any details they can garner on why the outage occurred.

  • Continually develop best practices to maximize the position and role.

  • Build business relationships with third party vendors and customers.

  • Liaison between supply and accounting on cost information.  Improve and streamline this process as much as possible.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational/analytical skills with the ability to give presentations, listen to others, express ideas both orally and in writing and provide relevant and timely information to management, colleagues, etc.  Intermediate Computer Skills: Experience working in Windows, Internet Explorer & MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability and desire to work in a team-centered environment
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to disseminate information to all levels with a math-centric focus

Cash Application Specialist

Cash Application Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for generating all bank & EFT draft files, cash & credit application activities, maintenance of AR / customer accounts, generating customer & miscellaneous reports as well various other department responsibilities as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Run the daily credit memo smart list and review as well as apply the credits in Great Plains (GP) that were generated in Right Angle (RA)

  • Initiate & apply the bank daily drafts in the AS400 and GPs

  • Apply all ACH push, wire, check, Giant Eagle exceptions and lockbox payments in the AS400 and GP

  • Reconcile daily payments to bank report and update tracking spreadsheets

  • Perform daily maintenance responsibilities (saving draft notices, review EFT mailbox, Citizens bank site etc.)

  • Process AR write-off’s daily & as needed

  • Prepare required customer statements on Mondays and Thursdays of each week

  • Review & resolve AR discrepancies for Source One customers (primarily Lehigh and Marathon)

  • Generate as well as post NSF’s in the AS400 & GP as they occur & forward notices to the credit rep, sales rep etc.

  • Generate & assist others with using the smart list report option in GP

  • Work as part of a team environment and answer phones, handle credit, collection & customer service related issues. Ability to work with various internal departments as needed to resolve business issues. Provide back up support & services in times of need, illness, vacation etc. 

  • Provide excellent service by communicating clearly and professionally to customers, colleagues and management

minimum qualifications/requirements:

  • Associate degree in business or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university preferred

  • 2 years of credit, collections & cash application experience preferred. Note: Petroleum industry knowledge & experience a plus

  • Proficient computer skills & competent in using Windows, Internet Explorer and MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Ability to understand problems and make timely, practical business decisions

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
